When to Get a Foundation Inspection
A foundation inspection tells you whether the movement you are seeing is cosmetic or structural, and what, if anything, needs to be done. It is worth scheduling if you notice cracks in drywall, brick or the slab, doors and windows that stick, floors that slope, gaps at trim or windows, or if you are buying or selling a home with known foundation concerns.

What We Check
We look at the foundation type, measure floor elevations to see where and how much the structure has moved, and map cracks and any signs of recent movement. We also review grading, gutters, downspouts, trees, plumbing leak indicators and moisture around the foundation, because water is behind much of the movement we see in Texas.
You receive a clear explanation of what we found and, if repair is needed, a written scope and an upfront quote. If the movement is minor or cosmetic, we tell you that too.
Services After an Inspection
If repair is needed, the most common next steps are slab foundation repair, pier and beam foundation repair, foundation crack repair, house leveling and foundation drainage. See our main foundation repair page for an overview, or find your city on our cities we serve page.
Technician insight
Most homes have a few small cracks. What matters is whether they are changing and what is driving them, which is why we measure and check drainage before giving an opinion.
